Ancillary Task - Poster

This is my finished poster for our short film. The ancillary tasks had to be produced independently so this is whatIi produced as the poster for our short.

Ancillary Task - Double Page Spread

This is my finished double page spread for my group's short film. We all had to produce our ancillary tasks independantly and this is what I have produced.

How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

This is our group's response to question four on the evaluation.

SHORT FILM!

This is my groups' finished short film project PLAY considering the themes of time and technology.
We had to be aware of copyright issues and therefore our idea took a lot of rethinking, as the 'narrative improvement' post states. overall, we were delighted with the outcome of the film and hope others enjoy it. with a deadline approaching fast we had to make some changes and the film wasn't exactly as we'd of hoped but we made the best of what we had. Enjoy!

Narrative Improvement

My group felt that our short film needed more narrative in order for the film to be more successful. Therefore after brainastorming and collating some thoughts together, we came up with some additional scenes that would improve our creative project:

START: Matthew looks at photo of Sasha smiling, his sister, with tv on in background.
[the news is on in the background of the television with a news report about a girl who has been struck by a car in the early hours of the morning]
Extreme close-up of eyes watering, reaction shot of photo (which has Sasha with earphones in)
Possibly different shots of Sasha’s room with scattered music posters and photos on her wall.
Possible flashbacks of Matthew and Sasha listening to music together

NEXT SCENE: shows Matthew and Harley at the gravestone of Sasha
NEXT SCENE: Shows Matthew and Sasha’s parent saying that Matthew might as well have the iPod, the one thing she really loved.

Matthew then gets the iPod out asking himself ‘what is so special about the time machine?’
