My Group's Response to Audience Feedback

Media Feedback by mh1554
My group in media produced a short film pitch in which the rest of the class had to fill in a questionnaire with their responses to our pitch. This contained different elements such as mise-en-scene, characters, narrative and concept etc. This is my groups' joint response on the feedback we recieved.

My Group's Short Film Animatic

This image is our animatic for our short film proposal. It contains depictions of possibly shots that we might include in our finished product, as well as explaining what's happening in the narrative.

My Group's Short Film Pitch

This is my group's short film pitch for our Media project. It contains our concept, narrative and other aspects about our film such as setting, characters included and themes used.

Radio Trailer

Radio trailer by mh1554
This is a potential trailer for a film idea me and my friends devised about people controlling their own actions. Basically, we think we control our own actions, like going to sleep etc. however people in the 'heavens' control every action we do, and this is discovered when in a coma, with outer-body experiences.

Online Reviewing

Online reviewing is essential in this modern age. With the ever more increasing world of technology and web 3.0, as well generation Z, online reviewing has become a major part of films’ success.  We are able to access reviews for free either from critics or the audiences of the films and this allows us to get a professional response to the film but also an informal response from people like ourselves. Opposing to this we would have to buy a magazine or a subscription to see a review for a film but on the Internet we can do exactly the same for free. The net is global and becoming more and more integrated with everyday life and with online reviewing it is much easier than looking in a magazine. We can look for any review of any film on the Internet, which might be understandably difficult in a monthly magazine such as Total Film.  Audiences are able to engage with reviews too, to discuss and quarrel over their views –which magazines are lacking. The film Stand By Me was reviewed well on Rotten Tomatoes and in Total Film and these reviews made me watch the film, to satisfy my curiosity.

Stand By Me

I'm Here Review

I’m Here is a beautifully constructed and powerful short which will leave you in admiration. The tale follows Sheldon and his affection for the increasingly gawky Francesca. It tells human beings the morals for love as Sheldon quite exquisitely shows; if you love someone you will do literally anything for them. The fact that a robot is showing us this suggests that we wouldn’t be aware of this moral without outsiders’ help. We find throughout the narrative that he is constantly helping Francesca out and is potentially threatening his own life for the love of his life. She’s hospital bound – he’s hospital bound. We are encouraged to empathise with Sheldon as he’s portrayed as being so sweet and caring and female audiences are in awe of his warmth. Sheldon is extreme. He goes to lengths unimaginable and we discover this in the end when Francesca is wheeled out of the hospital holding just his head.

This picture shows Sheldon and Francesca lying together. This shot encapsulates their love and we are already adoring them both.

Short Film Posters

This Prezi is essential research for producing my own short film. I have looked at short film posters here to see what is and isn't an enticing short film poster. Whilst analysing these posters I found out that money isn't necessarily a drawback to having an appealing film poster and that still images from the film can often allure viewers to find out more, resulting in the film being watched.
